If you can stand up in front of an audience and make them laugh it means that you can give an amazing presentation. A comedian needs to be able to relax an audience, be liked and be interesting. This is exactly what you need to do for all forms of communicating.
This is an intensive 16-hour weekend course. At the end of it you will be able to be comfortable enough on stage to give a speech or presentation and you will be able to make an audience laugh.
You will learn to present yourself well, to be relaxed on stage, to develop material and conquer your fears so you can express your own unique sense of humour on stage and make people laugh. Most of the people who take the courses are professionals from different backgrounds but some also want to be performers. Many of those who have taken the course and actively pursued stand up comedy are regularly getting paid for gigs and have even been on RTE.

LAUGHING WITH YOUR STORY
Laughing With Your Story is a course where the depth of biographical storytelling meets with the lightness of comedy. We combine the arts of storytelling and comedy, and use them as a tool of self-exploration. We evoke a meaningful memory from ones life, find the essence of the memory and use humour to bring light to the darker places within us, which brings healing to the speaker and listeners.
Weather you are a professional performer or you never set foot on a stage before, you’ll leave the course having shared a meaningful well crafted story form your life told in a truthful way while also sharing moments of laughter with the audience
