If you can stand up in front of an audience and make them laugh it means that you can give an amazing presentation. A comedian needs to be able to relax an audience, be liked and be interesting. This is exactly what you need to do in a presentation or an interview.
This is an intensive 16-hour weekend course. At the end of it you will be able to be comfortable enough on stage to give and speech or presentation and if you like, you will be able to make an audience laugh.
You’ll learn to present yourself well, how to be relaxed on stage, how to develop material and conqueryour fears so you can express your own unique sense of humour on stage and make people laugh.
The course is led by:
- Aidan Killian, an x-investment banker now full time comedian, comedy coach, and runner of “laughoutloud” comedy club will run the course. He is resident mc of 4 comedy clubs in Dublin and he has helped 100′s of people get on stage for the first time and that number is growing fast. In the past we have had top comedian guest speakers such as Michael Mee (“The Late Late Show”), Dave McSavage (has his own TV programme RTE “The Savage Eye”), Robbie Bonham (98fm’s Dublin’s Best Comedian), Abie Philipin Bowman (sell out Edinburgh show).
You will get some one on one time with the instructor and your live graduation stand up comedy gig will be recorded at the end.
To be good at anything you need practice, during this course, you will get lots of stage time and will receive valuable feedback from the instructor. From nothing, you can develop your confidence, material, and get on stage and do a successful stand-up comedy act. You will leave the stage with an amazing natural high….. and an inner confidence which will be with you for life.

BRING YOUR STORY TO LIFE
SHARING YOUR STORIES AND GIVING LAUGHTER: Shape a real story from your life , share it with others and develop both your authentic voice and the courage to stand in your words. In this one weekend 16hour fun, intensive course we will invoke a memory from your life, craft it into a vivid expressive story using the power of storytelling and lighten it with humor using tools from the comedy world.

THE COMEDY CRASH COURSE
VENUE: (Hampton Hotel, Donnybrook) and (Anseo, Camden st.)
DATES: Mar 2012, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and graduation gig on Tues 6th Mar.
TIMES: (Friday 2nd eve 6:30 – 9pm), (Saturday and Sunday 11AM – 5PM), (Tuesday 8 -11pm for graduation gig)
Laughter donation: 300 euro (but as we use a fiat currency other forms of barter acceptable like gold or potatoes.)
This is a 16 hour course, which will include one on one training. You will get a video clip of your comedy gig at the end and if you are not happy with your investment at the end you can have a 100% refund. (although time cannot be refunded).
Some people wish to do this course for the learning experience or for the inner challenge, but some people want to continue to progress after the graduation. If that is what you want, I will get some gigs for you to perform at and point you in the right direction.
